Changes
Been a while, kind of forgot about this site (again. I'm a slacker). Also because of reasons. That whole life gets in the way thing. I've been here for 18 years apparently, and still haven't managed to fix a decent uploading schedule. Which is odd, considering I find schedules comforting in their own right. When last we checked in with our heroine, she was recovering from having gall bladder surgery, thinking of going to school, etc etc etc. It's been a couple of years. No body cares; nonetheless, I feel the need to fill in a few blanks. Because more reasons. Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in biology, with a specialization in forest/grassland ecology. Had started with a leaning towards "Outdoor Education" (think forest ranger), but that felt a little too "teach-y" for me. I still have OE as a minor though. Less teachie less physical educationish. More plant nerdiness. Stuff changes. Sometimes what you felt was a good idea at the time, maybe not so much now. There's
Yeah, it's a slow one.
Been a while for you guys, so here's a snail to show how slow I am sometimes. Between work, work, and more work, it takes a while for me to get time to take some snaps here and there. But tonight I sat down and cleaned off the old camera for you. Hope you enjoy it :)
Settling In
Getting all settled in-- got a job, opened a checking account at the local bank for that direct deposit, and still am managing to sneak some time in for photos here and there. There are some plants that are the same or are similar to those I had back east. This is somewhat comforting, to be able to recognize stuff. There's also some new stuff I have had to look up. This is quite exciting--learning new stuff, yay :)
Life seems to be going smoothly, which is to say WATCH OUT cause pretty soon it's gonna be messed up. That seems to be how my luck goes.

A Long Strange Trip (again)
Have been on this site for a long, long time. If you knew me way back when, you'll remember I disappeared for a while--I was getting divorced and moving back to NC from TN. I was making a new start of things and it took me a while to remember I had an account on this site, so it took me like 8 years later to edit this account and start uploading things again. During this time, followers left this site (Or in one case, apparently outright *died* :-O) and I picked up a few new ones. I decided the whole photography thing was working better than the attempting to draw thing and removed some (very not so good) art I had attempted to do.
